Europe, 19th century (modelled on a 17th century Italian chest)

Stained carved wood in high relief. Carved relief on the front, caryatids on the right and left. A cartouche inside a central rectangular frame presents an emblem (lion in top half, star in bottom half) and is flanked by a reclining young woman with a mirror (right) and a reclining young man holding a bouquet (left). Mascarons on the front legs. Iron rings on each side.
